Matt comes to Adventure Racing from a life of team sports on the youth, college and professional level. The majority of that was spent on the soccer pitch. But as his mother states to be factual information, “Matt could ride his bike without training wheels when he was 1 ˝ years old.” Since that time Matt has always found himself on a bike of some sort. As on the soccer field, Matt is our utility member and does a little bit of everything.

One fateful day back in 2002, Matt saw the USA channels’ presentation of the Eco-Challenge. On that day he became enamored with the sport and has always wanted to compete in the “World’s Hardest Race.” Fast forward a couple of years and he finally found some other like minded, possibly a little crazy, people to compete with him. His goal is to one day soon compete in Primal Quest.
